Musical theatre is a form of theatrical performance that combines songs, spoken dialogue, acting and dance.

The story and emotional content of a musical are communicated through words, music and movement to tell a story.

Our classes are a fun introduction to musical theatre (dance, drama and singing) where our performers will learn to dance, sing and act and be taught how to put dance movement together to perform with song. During lessons children will participate in drama/acting exercises and games and learn multiple techniques and skills that build confidence in improvisation, characterisation and play making. We work on different age appropriate scripts and children get opportunities to audition for different parts or solos.

We also incorporate singing in our classes and work hard to build breath control, extending our vocal range, voice projection and to overall use the voice safely without straining or injuring our instrument.

We learn to sing a wide variety of fun, enjoyable and inspiring pieces from many well-known musicals and films and the children always leave our lessons with a huge smile on their faces whilst singing happy songs (that we’re sure you’ll hear for days)
